NOT ME
I was born in Hangzhou, China and I moved to Sydney, Australia by myself when I was 18. In 2013, I visited New York City by accident, and I have stayed there ever since. Now I live with my best friend and two lovely but strange cats in Brooklyn.
A few of my projects/collectives are Yuki+LeLe, Straw Pipes, GameLan Son of Lion, Madai!(麻袋!), 吅(Xuan Song), and my solo project Lullady.
I finished MFA and Advanced Curatorial Certificate at Hunter College in 2024. I was a Skowhegan School of Paintings and Sculptures resident in 2024 and an Oxbow School of Art resident in 2025.

I am an interdisciplinary artist who makes performative sculptures.
I am an endurance performance artist dealing with impatience in an urgent environment.
I "collect", "archive" and practice "letting go" of obsolete and discarded items and often "misuse" them to create interactive or sonic architectures with ephemeral, “accidental” or uncontrollable materials, such as shadows, radio signals, subconscious, wind, and water..
My work often looks raw and precarious, something like a plan, a maquette, unfinished. These humble sculptures can be dissembled, re-assembled, transformed and transported into different forms and spaces, embodying a “shape-shifting” character and “nomadic” personality.

The potential to create an alternative utopian zone from society’s garbage requires ecological and alchemical transformation, which derives from continuous failed attempts and experiments leading to more unpredictable openings.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I explore both tensions and paradox, via games, trust and zen.

My installations/performances have been exhibited in various institutions, galleries, venues and DIY spcaes in the US.
I sometimes play secret shows at public spaces in New York City.
